Dear Cornerstone Christian School Families,
Among our goals this year is to concentrate our efforts in improving how we manage the business side of the school. In the past few years, many strides have been made in the area of financial stability and information technology. We continue to move forward in this direction and it is in everyone’s best interest that we take advantage of these improvements.
As you well know, the tuition payment is critical to our school. It is one of our financial lifelines. With this in mind, we have been searching for a better way to insure we receive tuition payments in a dependable manner, to have up-to-date and accurate record keeping of these payments, to allow us flexibility in dealing with family circumstances that may arise during the school year, and to achieve these goals at a savings in time and money. As a result we have decided to use a tuition management company that is used by over 5000 schools in the country and many in the state of Colorado.
For the 2017-2018 school year, we are using the FACTS Tuition Payment Plan. Families are able to pay their tuition in one of 2 ways:
Payment in full due September 1st or 15th. <There is a $20 FACTS fee for this option>
10 monthly payments beginning in August. <There is a $50 FACTS fee per family, per year> Sign up before August to avoid a late fee of $200.
The budgeted payments will be processed by FACTS in one of two methods. The first is having your payment transferred by your bank on the 1st or 15th of the month. The family can select the date.
Parents can use a credit card. Payments are also made on the 1st or 15th, and can be made by using MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. These credit card payments will have a “convenience fee” of 2.75% <in addition to the FACTS fee>.
Parents can view all of their payment activity online, change payment method from month to month, make additional payments, and view previous/upcoming payments.
One of the universal challenges in private Christian education is achieving a balance between our educational mission and financial stability. It is precisely for this reason we are enlisting the service of the FACTS Tuition Management. With FACTS, Cornerstone still maintains all decision-making control. We will continue to be able to adjust to any special family circumstances that may arise. At the same time, the improved financial picture brought about by the new program will enable us to give increased time and attention to our educational goals.
